Parts of Upton Park you never stood/sat in?
I never sat/stood in the Chicken Run or elsewhere in the East Stand.

Twice, I think, in the South Bank. The rest of the time always in either the North Bank or the West Stand.

Did I miss anything?

Started in the Chicken Run Lower (standing) then moved to the South Bank when I was old enough to go by myself. Loved going back in the Chicken Run Lower when we gave up the South Bank for big games.
Occasional North Bank appearances, West Side Directors Box for my birthday one year, then West Lower ST, West Upper when the pitch was being moved and, finally Chav corner before the move.
Have done BM Lower and Upper with random tickets.
Brief glimpse from South Bank Away end when getting thrown out in the 80's, and went to a couple of friendlies in the away end. Not sure I ever did Centenary Upper....think I had a ticket one time but never went.

Been all over, before and after all seating, though the only time I was in the old West Upper was for one of those beam back matches on the dodgy giant screen they erected in the middle of the pitch.

Normally in the South Bank and then graduated to Chicken Run terrace, rebuilt version. I’m not old enough to have stood on the original Chicken Run.

I wish I could take all the younguns back in a time machine to those terraces. To be part of that big heaving monster was what being young was all about.

I never went in the old, old chicken run because that was knocked down before I was born. Apart from that, I watched us from every single part of the ground both before the 3 new ones were built and after. That includes the away ends and even the sterile bit between the home and away in the old South Bank. My favourite was the chicken run before they put the seats in. Used to move at half time so that I could be up whatever end we were attcking.

I never sat or stood in the Trevor Brooking stand upper tier. Stood or sat everywhere else pre and post seats.

Never watched a game from the East stand.
Mainly watched from south bank right behind the goal as a kid, some games in the west upper & lower - first ever game was in the West upper.
Watched on the temporary beam back screens from the North which was always a good atmosphere but strange being an empty ground.

Ha-ha! I remember that. It was like a rite of passage.

South Bank down the front when you were very little, then NB, then into the South with the PBI!

Too young (just) for the proper Chicken Run but stood in the Lower East. Sat and stood everywhere else. East or West standing was the best. Higher standard of abuse.

Too young for West lower terracing, though sat there a few times but never in (old) West upper. I never stood or sat in the east stand. I remember in the 80s it was season ticket holders and family stand members only?

Was a South Bank regular.

Re: Parts of Upton Park you never stood/sat in?
Stood and sat in all parts of every stand

Was a north banker typically.

Every time I ventured south we got stuffed- the last time being the worst - 0-4 v Wimbledon one xmas I think.

West lower standing was great - saw a few games in the 81 promotion season in there.

The north east cafe ledge was also unlucky. 86 replay v Sheffield Wednesday the worst

I never stood on the chicken run - I don't think I did anyway. Maybe when I was v young but I don't think so.

I certainly stood/sat everywhere else in the ground.

Mallard. That’s probably the only game I saw in there too. Can’t remember exactly. All I remember is it was a pre-season friendly and the bird I was with got all excited because she didn’t realise Frank Mc played for West Ham

Re: Parts of Upton Park you never stood/sat in?
I can claim to have been in every single part of the Boleyn ground, old and new. North bank, south bank, west side and chicken run, including the original, I've sat in the upper west and lower west as well as the upper east and chicken run.

Also I've been in the Directors box a few times in the late 60's and early 70's.

I've also sat in every part of the ground (upper tiers and lower tiers) once it became all-seater. And just before demolition I sat in the box that Umbro used.

And I've stood in those two corner cages either side of the north bank.

And having done that since '62 I can confidently say that the best place to watch from was the back row of the Chicken run - sitting or standing, before they moved the pitch 30 yards away. The old directors box was great but you had to keep schtum.
